Nick Palmer

Nick Palmer is a Principal at Vantage Partners. He brings over twenty years of strategy consulting experience to help clients plan, implement, and manage major organizational change and complex inter-firm collaboration. While he specializes in strategic alliances and joint ventures, his work includes pre- and post-merger planning and execution, and large-scale corporate transformation. He has served clients in a broad range of industries including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, telecommunications, software, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, banking, chemicals and petroleum, airlines, high technology, and theme parks.

Prior to returning to Vantage Partners, Nick was Partner in Accenture’s Organization Strategy practice. He led the alliance-management consulting practice at Accenture from 1999 to 2001. He began his consulting career with McKinsey & Company in its Munich and Cleveland offices. Nick is a frequent speaker at conferences and has appeared on CNN, and been published and quoted in business publications including Forbes, CIO Magazine, Business 2.0 online, Cisco’s IQ Magazine, The Australian, and The Journal of Commerce.

Nick has sat on the Global Board of Directors of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (A.S.A.P.) since 2000. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Finance & Administration Committee, and is Chairman of its Annual Alliance-Excellence Awards Committee. He graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School, and engaged in further study at Harvard as a Dean’s Doctoral Fellow focused on Business Economics and Industrial Organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
